Blog #10: Commitment

 Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, today I want to talk about something that bums me out a bit. It's been a few months since I've last talked about the art of crochet and sadly I haven't been able to get to any of the projects I wanted to do. The reason as to why I wasn't able to get to them is because of time, time for me is very limited thanks to college and my own personal life. A lot has been going on but I never stopped thinking about it. In fact, I am going to be committing to it this summer and after my finals week. I truly believe I can do it and can learn a lot in my time off from college, I even believe that it will even help me relax after a stressful week. While this may be hard to learn and you could argue that would add onto my stress but I know to take my time with the projects and that I don't have to get them all done within one sitting. I also understand and know it's going to be hard, so I am going into it with a readied mind and with some personal experience. I talked to the friend who got me into crochet and said to me that it's ok and they understand, it was very relieving to hear that because the last thing I wanted was to disappoint them. I know they'll still enjoy the scarf and that is going to be the one I finish first! I actually started on it a bit tonight since I had a little time to take a break from all my studying and assignments. Here's a photo! 

I had to restart my progress because I lost my place within my stich but I made a small but good progress, even if it does look like a bundled mess, as some people say, trust in the process. It's also my first real project so I'm cutting myself slack. I'm going to be committing to this project because I really want to make that scarf for my friend as my first crochet project and I'm going to avoid looking at other crochet ideas and projects for now because I know once I look at them, I am going to want to do them. That would cause me to go into a spiral of getting distracted and that's something I don't want. That's all I have to say for this one, I'm sorry I wasn't able to come back with a fully done scarf to show you all but I will get it done hopefully soon.
