Blog #5 Let the Mayhem begin!
Hello welcome back to my blog, like I mentioned in my last one. I was going to post another one today and what I have for you is a rhetorical analysis of an Allstate commercial. Specifically the Tailgater Mayhem ad . I'm going to try my best to analyze this ad and try to break it down so we can get a better understanding of what makes this ad successful and funny. Lets start off with the actor, the main lead of this ad. The ad starts of with a guy who is wearing a suit with blue stripes painted on his cheeks with a bandaged, he reminds me of what an 80's action star would look like. He is seen driving a car getting ready to tailgate a poor innocent person because tailgating gets him ready for football. The main actor has this charm that draws me in and I can't fully explain it, maybe its his cool and calm voice with his mischievous laugh or maybe its the joke he made in the beginning of the video.
