Entry #1 A New Hobby

 Hello! Welcome back to my page, today I would like to talk to you all about something that I enjoy, something I mentioned in my last blog. I'd like to talk about crochet today, as surprising that may be, I love crocheting. It's a new hobby I got when I was on my holiday trip to spend time with a friend in a different state. They took me out to go get a bunch of supplies for me, to introduce me into it. Now I'm still not so great at but I will be trying my best! It started off simple with just basic crochet tasks like making a slip not, then a chain stich and eventually going into a half double crochet. Those two things are from what I've learned very important when it comes to working on bigger projects. For example the crochet project I am working on now is a scarf, I wanted to create something for them as a token of appreciation and I decided a scarf, something to keep them warm. I'm following this really helpful guide from Sewrella on YouTube, she goes in major details on what exactly you need to do. I will show you the final product of what the scarf will look like at the end.

I am currently about half-way done with the half double crochet step, I sadly do not get a lot of time to work on this due to college or having to do other important things around my house or with my friends. When I do have time for it, I work on it little by little making sure I am doing it correctly, since this is my first project I am being very lenient and trying not to be so hard on myself. I am bound to make mistakes and I accept that and I accept that it's ok. I know they wouldn't mind a messed up scarf from me as their first project was a blanket that is too small for anyone in the house but a part of me wants it to be the best it possibly can be. I think what matters in the end for my first project is that I tried the best I can and that I put all my love and passion into this scarf for them.
